Spring Valley, located beyond Westlands, is a popular green residential area of Nairobi attractive because of its close vicinity to Westlands. It is also close to two excellent schools, International School of Kenya and the Peponi School. The houses in this area are of various types with both large villas with expansive gardens as well as smaller maisonettes and apartments. The security is good in Spring Valley and many of the houses are bunched together in secure areas with security barriers and private patrolling security personnel. Shops are few in this area but of little significance due to its close proximity to Westlands.
