Runda, a privately cordoned off estate built on a former coffee plantation, is a upper-class residential area in close vicinity of the UN complex and The Village Market, Nairobi's up-market shopping centre that boasts cinemas, restaurants, supermarkets, boutique shops etc. Runda has its own privately owned water supplier and is known for its excellent security.
