NYAHURURU, a town located 190 km north west of Nairobi, situated near the equator amidst farms and nearby cattle and wildlife ranches. Being up at an altitude of 2360 m Nyahururu has a fabulous climate with the occasional frost in the mornings. A local attraction are the Thompson's Falls, on the Ewaso Narok River, that falls 72 m into a forest below. There are hotels and lodges in the town and surrounding areas and ample places to eat.
