KISII is a town in south western Kenya 360 km from Nairobi and is the capital of Kisii district. The Kisii area is the most densely populated region in Kenya. They are a very economically active community and Kisii town has not only grown tremendously with regard to the population but also economically. Today most everything is present in Kisii be it banks, supermarkets, shops, restaurants, pubs etc. Near Kisii town a small industry has grown out of a soapstone quarry where the Kisii soapstone artifacts are manufactured.
