KARATINA is a colourful market town situated 140 km from Nairobi on the northern highway towards Nyeri. Karatina is known for its second hand clothes market and its fresh fruit and vegetable market. The town has supermarkets, shops of all kinds, hotels, restaurants and two hospitals.
